Ethnic and Cultural Awareness
The Central Area has a diverse ethnic population - as a result CAYA tries to
present ethnic and cultural material that enhance and complement our students
heritage. This includes:
- Weekly History Moments examining contemporary and historical events/people
- As-available Field Trips
- Cultural Celebrations (ex. Black History Month)

"Late Night" Programs
As an incentive for academic effort we hold a "late-night" which
includes a movie, dinner, games and positive social interactions.

Performing Arts
CAYA is proud to introduce a dance and drama club. Our coordinator, who is
a former director for the Paramount Theater and professional dancer, is ready
to teach dance steps/routines as well as introducing the students to all aspects
of producing a performance.
